A Hungarian success story at SIGEP

how to turn a problem into an opportunity….

We all know that the Hungarians are creative and genius. Everybody knows the names of famous Hungarian inventors like Mr Biro for the ballpoint-pen or Mr Rubik for the Magic Cube.
This case of a Hungarian inventor and business man is again a confirmation to this thesis.
Visiting SIGEP, the huge Food Service Exhibition in Rimini I met the only Hungarian exhibitor in Hall C3-stand 105 launching a new product developed by the owner of ERWIN company Mr. Erwin Szabò.
Mr Szabò very kindly hosted me at his stand while telling me the story why was absolutely important to find a solution for his problem . He has six ice cream shops in Hungary and in 2018 he started to doubt the honesty of his personal as it seemed that the official daily cash flow was too low.
To be able to check the real turnover of his shops he started to develop a special ice cream scoop that counts the number of scoops dispensed and transmits the data to a central unit. The central receiver unit can manage up to 7 scoops. Counted data is continuously sent to the server via an internet connection.
